Publicity Associate, Professional Tennis

Assist the Senior Director, Public Relations, Pro Tennis in the execution of publicity plans for USTA Professional Tennis unit initiatives and activities in local and national press by leveraging assets and marrying partners to build the USTA brand. Support the department Directors in the execution of publicity plans for Corporate Communications and USA Team Events. Responsibilities include but are not limited to daily information management, including coverage summaries to USTA executives and daily monitoring of sports business and tennis news. Responsible for production of press releases, department presentations, department correspondence and other written communication. Assist Director with all Corporate Communications initiatives. Draft all written communication, both internal and external. Responsible for final editing, electronic distribution and filing of press releases.

QUALIFICATIONS/OTHER:
• Bachelors degree
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience
• Knowledge of tennis and the business of sports in general
• Polished writing and interpersonal skills
• Creative, resourceful, team-oriented and self-motivated
