Dominican University of California of San Rafael, an NAIA CalPac Conference member and NCAA II PacWest Conference exploratory member, seeks candidates for the part-time position of Head Women's Tennis Coach.

Responsibilities

- General: represents the University with integrity and adheres to all policies and regulations; effectively interacts with a wide variety of people in a manner that positively portrays the University and its programs, personal and philosophies

- Coaching: develops tennis-specific skills and strategies; promotes student-athlete welfare and provides appropriate mentoring to student-athletes; monitors the academic progress of student-athletes

- Recruiting: identifies prospective student-athlete prospects; effectively communicates with prospective student-athletes; effectively communicates and coordinates recruitment efforts to Dominican's Offices of Admissions and Financial Aid; meets recruiting goals

- Program Administration: schedules practices; reserves facilities; maintains inventory of equipment, uniforms and supplies; coordinates team travel; works closely with the Athletic Director to identify and manage budget; attends Dominican Athletics Department retreats and special events

- Supervision: identifies, hires, trains and evaluates an assistant coach

- Community Relations: conducts community outreach programs; conducts Dominican Sports Camps tennis programs
NOTES: This job will be for six months and the person is exempt.

Requirements


- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

- Three years of experience in coaching at the college level or five years experience coaching at the high school or club level

- Minimum USPTA certified level 1 professional accreditation

- Valid CA state driver's license

- Valid CPR/First card

- Clearance of a criminal history record check
