Performance Analysis Coordinator

at National Academy & Australian Institute of Sports (AIS) in Australia

Job Description:
This position is responsible for the implementation and continued evolution of match analysis, focusing on match strategy and tactics in our National Academy & Australian Institute of Sports (AIS) Pro Tour programs. Reporting to the TA Sport Science Manager, this position is fundamental in the development of world class procedures for notational analysis. Central to the position will be extensive contact, communication and liaison with high performance Australian coaches and players and information technology stakeholders.

The Performance Analysis Coordinator will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Coordinating live match and training analysis.
Undertaking match analysis archiving and benchmarking.
Supporting system development and integration.
Managing match analysis web-based data repository.
Cooperating with relevant sport science / high performance personnel and projects.

Essential requirements to be successful in this position include:
Experience working in a high performance sport.
Coaching qualification or willingness to to acquire one.
Current First Aid certification
Current National Police Check and/or Working with Children Check or willingness to acquire one.
Ability to set priorities, plan work programs and meet deadlines in a results oriented environment.
Experience in using web environments to research and gather data in sport.
Knowledge of tennis science and the sport’s rules.

You will have a professional attitude and exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively develop relationships, including an understanding of athletes’ and coaches’ learning styles and attitudes. Additionally, you will also have a logical and efficient approach to system design and a high level of analytical skill. Flexibility in regard to working hours and your ability to undertake travel nationally and internationally is required in this position. Your excellent IT knowledge coupled with multimedia skills will see you succeed in this role.
