Operations Director - Growing Tennis School (Midtown West)

We are a small tennis school for kids and adults with multiple satellite court locations that is growing fast and needs an ambitious detail oriented operations manager to help with it’s growth!

Looking for an ambitious and detail oriented tennis player who is good at meticulously managing operations and event coordination. As the company grows, your position will grow and you can be a pivotal part of the success of the company. You will plan the summer camps, help manage/coordinate classes, schedule instructors, plan promotional events, talk with customers and parents, and manage others.

Start: Immediately
Location: Main office LIC Queens. Court Locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens
Position Details

* Ensures ALL operations of the tennis school go on well. o Project Manage each new season + Collaborate w/other departments such as marketing and HR to make sure deadlines are met and we have a successful season. o Departments that you are in charge of and report to: + Instructors & Location Managers + Customer Service + Other program coordinators o Direct Responsibilities + Instructor Training, Scheduling and Management + Prevent and solve operations issues. + Write up procedures and train team on how to implement them. + Staff Scheduling + General Customer Service and Client Scheduling + Project Management of new seasons and new projects + Class Manager during your shift + Camp Director – Plan and manage all summer camps + Conduct meetings with other departments and management

Qualities

Skills

* Able to Teach Tennis * Manage multiple projects * Excellent written and verbal communication * Very good with computers o Word, Web applications, Excel, Email o Must be able to pick up other computer programs quickly

Experience & Education

* Preferably college graduate * Strong tennis player * Work experience coordinating events, people, meetings * Work experience managing others and a team * Experience managing projects and deadlines * Past coaching experience especially in the area of Tennis * Plus: Experience working with kids

Schedule:
These are the projected hours/schedule, however, the position requires schedule flexibility to make sure job gets done. This is a full time position, working 5 days a week.

* April to November o Tues-Thurs: 10:15am-7pm o Fri: 9:45am-6:30pm o Saturday: 8am-4:45pm o w/ 45 minute unpaid lunch each day * Winter: o TBD

Salary

* Base salary plus bonus o Total compensation comes out to about $34-39k. Compensation will include a base plus a seasonal bonus based on success of each season.
