PERFORMANCE COACH REQUIRED - LONDON
The WimX Academy is seeking a highly-motivated performance coach who can contribute to, and excel in, a team environment.
WimX, short for Wimbledon Experience, was established in 2005 by five former Wimbledon competitors with the passion and drive to produce world-class tennis players. We operate across several venues, and offer both Performance and Community tennis programs. The academy started with a base of club players and in four years has produced over 25 top 100 junior players, 9 matrix players and six GB top 10 players as well as players with junior and senior world rankings.
We are looking for a coach with a good playing standard who has experience of either playing or coaching Tour level tennis to work primarily in our Performance program, but with the flexibility to deliver sessions in our Community venues and development programs. The Performance wing of our academy operates in two venues, so the ideal candidate will have a full driving license and access to a car. Tournament trips will be a necessary part of the job, so a willingness to travel is also essential. WimX has performance players aged 5 to 25, and a number of apprentices coaches, so it is important the coaching team serve as excellent role models at all times. All WimX coaches are expected to attend regular coach meetings and perform off-court, unpaid jobs every so often to drive the company forward, for example, leaflet distribution, seminar attendance, etc, so we are looking for candidates who are in the profession to grow the game and the company, as well as exhibiting proven time-management and organisational skills.
The successful candidate will be someone who will grow with our expanding coaching brand and continue to develop to become the best coach he or she can be. The financial terms will be dependent upon experience, but the right candidate will have the opportunity to earn share options in the future.
